When you select Education at William Penn, you're choosing to be involved in programs that benefit both you and the community. Maybe you'll get involved in the Reading Program that tutors local children. Maybe you'll become part of the Homeless Project, tutoring students in area homeless shelters and reaching out to at-risk junior high students. Perhaps you want to present a paper at the Iowa Reading Conference or attend meetings that promote literacy. And most certainly you'll take advantage of professional development opportunities through the Iowa State Education Association. Maybe you'll be a judge for a creative writing contest… the opportunities are limitless.
