William Penn has formalized an agreement with the Republic of Rwanda
that will allow Rwandan students to attend the university. Four individuals have been selected through Rwanda’s Presidential Scholars Program to be the first to travel to Iowa. They are shown here with Jane and Steve Noah, who were in Rwanda in July to meet with the Minister of Education and President Paul Kagame.

New Semester - New Facilities

The Musco Technology Center (left) now houses Penn's premier industrial technology programs as well as the new digital broadcasting and other communications programs. The activity center (right) offers two full-size basketball courts, an elevated running track, a cardio fitness center and an artificial turf area the size of nearly half a football field.
In January of 2009, the Admissions and Financial Aid offices will move into administrative space on the east side of the activity center.
Iowa Senator Tom Harkin recently announced that an appropriations bill has gained committee approval that will include $500,000 toward equipment in Penn's new science labs, due to open in the fall of 2009.
