Penn at a Glance

Enrollment: Over 800 students in the College of Arts, Sciences and Professional Studies and 900 students in the College for Working Adults. Students come from 43 states and 12 countries.

Student/Faculty Ratio: Students receive personal attention from faculty with a 16:1 ratio in the classroom.

Programs: Leadership core curriculum leads to bachelor's degrees in a wide range of liberal arts and professional academic disciplines. In addition to our four-year academic program in a traditional setting, Penn has an Associate of Arts in Leadership Studies and Bachelor of Business degrees through our College for Working Adults on three campuses in Iowa.

Student Life: More than 25 student organizations, including fraternities and sororities, professional clubs and special interest groups. Penn also offers fine arts activities, intramural sports, and student-run media.

Athletics: The William Penn Statesmen compete in 14 sports at the varsity level in the NAIA. Competitive dance and cheerleading are also offered, and students compete in a wide variety of intramural sports.

Residence Halls: Single and double rooms in co-ed or single-gender halls are offered as well as townhouses that are available for upperclassmen. Rooms are equipped with cable television and computer hook-ups and are just a short walk to the cafeteria. Apartments for married students and/or seniors are also available.

Tuition & Fees:  For 2007-2008, tuition is $16,510, room and board is $5,042 and fees are $370.

Financial Aid: At William Penn, 98 percent of our students receive assistance in financing their education through a variety of financial aid programs. Academic, athletic, leadership, activity and departmental scholarships and grants are offered.

Calendar: Two 16-week semesters, plus optional summer sessions.
